How to rotate a PDF and save its orientation

Correct sideways or upside-down sheets and save the change in a downloadable copy.

Rotate the view or save a rotation

A viewer’s rotation button may change only the view. This tool saves orientation in a PDF copy.

90° is a quarter turn, 180° turns the sheet upside down and 270° is three clockwise quarter turns. Rotation adds to the existing value: a sheet already at 90° becomes 180° after another 90° turn.

The whole document or selected sheets

If some sheets already read correctly, avoid a global rotation. Use a selection such as 2,4-6 and process groups separately for different angles.

  1. Load the file.
  2. Choose 90°, 180° or 270°.
  3. Leave pages blank for all or enter a selection.
  4. Download and inspect each changed orientation in another viewer.

Orientation and sequence are separate

To put the last sheet first, use Reverse pages. For custom positions, use Reorder. Rotation does not move sheets.

Processing is local and the original remains intact. Correct orientation before cropping, adding margins, numbers or logos so later operations use the final presentation.
