One visible character may contain several parts
Bivonio counts Unicode code points. The letter a and emoji 😊 count as one each, but a letter followed by a combining mark or a family emoji can contain several points.
This may differ from applications counting UTF-16 units, bytes or visible symbols. Check the target service’s rule; no single count is universal.
What each figure includes
The total includes spaces and line breaks. Without spaces excludes spaces, tabs and line breaks. Words are segmented by language rather than simply counting spaces.
Lines are separated by line breaks; paragraphs by blank lines. A final empty line can increase the line count even when the text looks the same.
- Paste the full text, including any signature you will send.
- Check the count corresponding to your required limit.
- Edit and watch the figure change.
- Copy the text or summary as needed.
Repetition and privacy
Word frequency groups words without case differences and sorts their occurrences. It does not automatically remove articles or measure writing quality.
Text is processed locally and not uploaded for counting. If you clean whitespace first, check that relevant formatting remains intact.
